Bernadette Kelly

Australian author of children's books. She has also written newspaper articles, theatre reviews and worked as an editor and tutor. Ms. Kelly loves horses. She did not have one as a child but now has quite a few of her own and breeds Australian Stock Ponies. She has tried her hand at a wide variety of horsy disciplines including show jumping, eventing and navigation riding. She has also served as District Commissioner at her local Pony Club.

Not surprisingly ponies appear in a lot of her books. She has written two pony series, one for teens and one for a slightly younger readership.

Ms. Kelly has her own website where you can find out more about her and her books.
